A wireframe is basically a blueprint of how iPad apps or websites work or interact with its users. It is designed to arrange elements a website so that they may perform certain tasks or purposes, it is often a plan to manage how the app/website works and when certain things take place, these are often defined by a business objective and/or a creative idea.
It is meant to show a page layout or arrangement of the website’s contents (which include interface elements and navigational systems) and how various parts of its anatomy should work together. Since it is meant to be a basic plan of how the website/app is meant to look and work, it does lack typographic style, color, or graphics, since the main focus lies in functionality, behavior, and priority of content.
